New Life At Our House!!!

When we first got back to Nyimba, Kendall went to the village and bought us 2 roosters and 4 hens. One of the hens laid her eggs and sat on them for about 21 days before they hatched! On Saturday afternoon, I heard a chirpping from the shed and went to see! Sure enough, she was sitting on her babies to keep them warm! It has been fun to watch her teach them to eat and drink water and how they chirp so loud when she gets too far away from them. This afternoon, the kids came running and screaming to me that the chicks were in the trash pit! Nice. So, I jumped in there and saved them from the depths of the dark and nasty trash pit! Oh the fun that we have around this house!

Two months ago, the kids planted the island in our backyard with some flower seeds! We love that they are finally growing and blooming. Thank you Lord for the flowers that you give us to bring color and joy to our lives! These flowers really do brighten up the drab, hot dry season!
