Growing Up Zambian

Yesterday, we received a package from our good friends, the Six Family, in Texas. Each one of our kids got a new doll. Lauren was so excited about her new baby doll and carried it around. Then I look up from preparing lunch and Zeria had found a piece of chitenge and made Lauren a pappoon for her baby doll. Lauren loved carrying "Ginger" around the house. She had just woken up from her nap, the reason for the hair that matches the baby doll!

Isn't it great that children do things that have brought them comfort to the ones they love... Including the babies!

I love it!! So funny how kids instantly know how to imitate their surroundings. I love her hair too!!
