We have arrived home from the 2009 Annual Missionary Meeting in Siavonga, Zambia. We had an awesome time of worship, fellowship, discussion, encouragement, brainstorming sessions, prayer, and FUN! Our missionary family met at Lake Kariba Inns and were welcomed by an incredible volunteer team that included people from Texas (Universal City Baptist Church), Arkansas (Wynne Baptist Church), and Tennessee! Thank you guys for blessing us with your love, talents, and some good American goodies! Kendall and I never cease to be amazed at how God has blessed us with an amazing mission family here in Zambia! Every time we come together we celebrate the call that God has placed on our lives and the incredible things that He is doing in Zambia! Praise the Lord for the missionaries in Zambia that have brought joy to our hearts and for our Faithful Father who never leaves us and has blessed us with a ministry here in Zambia!
Throughout the meeting Kendall and I would look at each other as we listened to our fellow missionaries share about how Christ is moving in their areas of ministry. God is really about to open the floodgates to the Zambian people. God has blessed our mission family with 2 new families, the Smith's and Langston's and in the summer 3 new families, the Lowe's, Schwarz', and the Vines'. How great is our God to hear our cry for workers and the true obedience of these families to come and lead people to Christ! Pray for these new families as they prepare to arrive and adjust to life in Zambia.

oh my goodness!!! Seeing your posts is only bringing me excitement to leave in July!! I do enjoy reading about your ministry.
NO WAY!!! You aren't going to believe this but I know Wes and Laurie! I went to Trinity Baptist in Fort Worth with them while I was in high school! Wes was part time staff when my mom was Brother Blair's secretary and just loved both of them. This world is getting smaller by the day!
Joy - this is CRAZY!!! I was flipping out when Amy told me of Wes and Laurie. I knew he had been to Africa with a sports basketballt team in the '90's. Bless them for me!
