"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:7
1 John 1:7 has been a verse that has truly defined our weekend with the churches of Zone 1 here in Nyimba. Starting on Friday we have been meeting with these churches as they have gathered together for times of teaching, worship, sharing meals, prayer, and fellowship. God really blessed our time with the churches. During our three days, Kendall and I have had our eyes opened even wider to the work that is before us and the lostness that still pervades this nation and the churches. On Friday night as Kendall and I debriefed the first day of meeting, we were distraught by the apathy of personal sin in some of the people.
I truly believe that God allowed this to penetrate our hearts to show Kendall and me once again how much we love the Nsenga people. Pray that the words of Truth that were spoken this weekend would pierce the hearts and minds of those who heard them.
Pray for the leadership of these churches: Mtilizi, New Jerusalem, Kapulu, and Nyimba Central. The leadership is very weak and our concern for their lack of Biblical understanding has concerned us deeply.
Pray that we would be diligent in seeking the Lord in our teaching and encouragement of these churches in Nyimba.
