Walk with me...

As I walk the roads of Nyimba now, I always anticipate seeing friends along the way. Sometimes I find friends who join me on my journey and others that greet me and smile. It reminds me that God has called us here to be a light and to encourage those around us to join us in more than a walk down the path, but to join us in a life following Jesus Christ. Here are some of the faces that I regularly see as I walk...
Tetamenje Banda...this is the lady that asked me to teach her to read and write. She is the one who made the chalkboard for me to use to teach her as well. She has 4 children and is a single parent. She is passionate about learning to read, so that she can read the Bible at home to her children. Her smile is contagious and she is precious!
Amai (Mrs.) Banda, her son works for us. She is so quiet but so full of joy.
Beatrice Banda, I am teaching her to read and write as well. She is pregnant with her 4th child and is a sweet friend that I really enjoy spending time with each week!
Florence Banda, she is also learning to read and write! Her son reminds me SO much of Easton!
Amai Sakala, she is the leader of the women's group at Nyimba Central. Her testimony is one of true repentance and genuine faith in Jesus Christ. A woman with tenacity and great wisdom.
Amai Zambili, what can I say about her...she is humble and full of love. I have never felt like a stranger around her. She is warm and welcoming to all around her.

I was so encouraged to have my precious friend, Sue, join us for 10 days. What an encouragement to have a sister that walks the same road and embraces sharing the Gospel with those around the world.

Oh, how wonderful it is to be able to see some of the faces of Nyimba through your eyes! Tetamenje Banda looks like a beautiful young woman on the inside and out!
