One morning as we were all getting ready for the day, I called Lily to come get ready as well. Before she could answer me, Sue (our friend who was with us), tells me that Lily is "busy doing her work". My response was, "OHHH her WORK!" I peek around the corner to find out what occupation she has chosen for the day.
Here is the dialogue:
ME: Lily what kind of work are you doing today?
LILY: I am stamping passports!
ME: OH okay, well are you....
LILY: EASTON, you can't come into this country with that passport!!!
ME: (laughing and thinking to myself...WOW she has crossed international lines a bit, eh? What 3 year old plays Immigration officer?)
To make the picture more clear she was using the bed as her chair, the night stand was the counter, the residents came to the other side of the night stand, the stamp was a canister of lotion, and she was stamping hotel notepads and brochures! WHAT A RIOT!
She is an amazing little girl and I am humored EVERYDAY by her cute remarks and AMAZED by her imagination! God is so good to give me such a flexible little girl that has endured MUCH change in order that her Daddy and Mommy can fulfill their call to missions, so that God's name may be glorified among ALL peoples and nations! It also reminds me that there is a little girl that is watching my every move and my job as Mommy is super important and I have to be sure to be careful my actions and be sure that Lily, Easton, and Lauren can see Jesus through me.
