Taking Time...

Recently, I have been burdened by the lack of time that I take to just sit with my children. Being a missionary gives us an abundant amount of time that we can spend with our family and that is a huge blessing. Many days after the kids have gone to bed, I realize that in the time that they were awake I spent more time trying to keep the house clean or write emails and failed to spend quality time with each of them that day. I think it is something that many parents struggle with and I am praying that God would teach me to chill out and not to worry about the small things in life so much that I miss the fleeting years of my children growing up. So, I started today. I stayed close by the girls and watched them interact and had a sweet day of playing with and loving on my kids.

Lily took this picture! Hence the reason the finger is in the way! She did a great job!

I struggle with this very thought too. There is so much to "do", but sometimes the best thing to do is "nothing" with my kids! I really love those pics. Lauren looks so big, and Lilly did a great job taking that one pic. Easton looks so much like Kendall, it's crazy!

I just wanted to say thank you for the reminder. It is so easy to get distracted by the "chores", and forget why I choose to stay home. Being a Mommy is the most important job.
Blessings!

We are so blessed by each and every one of our children, it is a shame that we allow "life" to get in the way of the precious moments (and with a 17 and 19 year old in the house, I know those years really are just moments)we have with our babies! Lauren is beautiful!
