How Are We Gonna Celebrate??

Another 4th of July has already come around again. This year, I just really had not planned anything fun to celebrate. At 8 a.m. Lily says,"Hey Mama, how are we gonna celebrate the 4th of July today?" I told her that I didn't know besides eating blue Jello!! I wanted to do some games, craft, and make a good ol' American meal. So after about 30 minutes of planning, this was our fun day of celebrating America's 236th Birthday! (Daddy wasn't home for the fun because he was out teaching. But he did eat steak and baked potatos with us for dinner!)
They made handprint fireworks while listening to our CD of American songs!

Then we played an addition and cover-up game with dice.
Easton figuring out how many dots he had!
Lauren putting her star sticker on the 8.
They waited patiently for me as I got things ready for our 4th of July relay races!

First race was running with the American Flag and shouting,"HAPPY 4th OF JULY!"

Then carrying a wiffle ball on a tupperware lid on your head!
Helping sister get set for her turn!
To end our fun day we had a relay to make an American flag piece by piece!
Happy 4th of July!
