Yesterday was a day of serious teaching and discussion about Jesus being our Savior and salvation. So, this afternoon (Sunday) I wanted to have some fun with the teaching and get the kids involved. We are focusing on three truths of God: God does what He says He will do; God protects those that love and obey Him; God sent His only Son, Jesus to die for our sins because He loves us so much. In every story that I teach them they can see one of these principles about God. Today I wanted to tell two stories and give the kids the chance to act them out. I have to say, this was sooo much fun for everyone! Zeria and I laughed until we cried and the kids enjoyed this so much! These are the highlight pictures of the two stories.
The story of Daniel in the lion's den....

The second story: Jonah
The Lord told Jonah to go to Ninevah. But Jonah disobeyed and got on a boat to Tarshish.
On the boat, Jonah slept (in front), the storm was raging (girl in red dress), and the big fish was waiting (boy in green shirt). The sailors discussed how Jonah could sleep through such a storm!
The big fish swallowed Jonah!
Jonah knew that he had disobeyed God and went to Ninevah to tell the people about God!
This was a fun way to end a long, tiring, exciting, overwhelming weekend....but it was all worth it because these kids are learning more about their Creator God that loves them so much! Please continue to pray for Friends of Jesus Club that meets every Saturday morning!
