The Package Taxi

Zeria came to the house at 7:30 this morning to inform us that the post office lady had called to inform us that we had packages! We are so blessed to have a post office in Nyimba and to have a friend that calls us to let us know that we have packages! The kids were excited to go! At 9:15 we put on our hats, suntan lotion, grabbed our water bottles, umbrella, wagon, and headed out the gate to the post office. On the way there, the sun was blaring and it was well into the mid-90s. Lauren rode in the wagon while Lily and Easton walked under the umbrella with Zeria! We arrived and began the process of receiving our packages.
After signing the forms and paying the money to receive the packages we loaded them into the Radio Flyer Town and Country "Package Taxi" and began to head home. We laughed because all five of them almost didn't fit in the wagon! The Zambians were laughing and loved the fact that we had a "mini truck" to take the packages home!

Lily snapped a picture of us as we began our journey home ( 800 meters)! As we walked home, the Lord suprised us with some huge clouds that blocked the sun and made the walk home a little more bearable!

After we finished school, the kids were busting at the seams to open our goodies. Lily hid in our closet to make sure that she didn't see any of her birthday gifts early! Easton and Lauren were excited about their new DARK sunglasses! The entire family was excited about the snack size chocolate chip cookies from the Lokey Family! We actually couldn't wait until Christmas to eat them like we were supposed to, so we ate them tonight to celebrate the rain coming to Nyimba!!! Thank you Lord!
