Love in the form of a cold bottle of water

Our guard, Paul Masiye who is 42 years old, has become a reflection of Jesus Christ to our 17-year-old neighbor, Masiye. Several months ago, Paul began to talk to Masiye about Jesus. Masiye said that he couldn't believe in Jesus because his parents didn't believe. Paul explained to him that it is a decision that he must make on his own because everyone will stand before Christ on Judgment Day. Ever since then, Masiye knocks on our gate to see if Paul is here. He loves to talk to Paul about Jesus and looks to Paul like a father. Masiye's father passed away and his stepfather is a drunkard and is openly committing adultery. Today at 10:15am when the sun began to heat up, there was a knock at our gate. Paul said, "I think it is Masiye." He answered the gate and came back with a bottle of water in his hand. Masiye told Paul that he wanted to give him a cold bottle of water since it was hot today. I almost cried. What a beautiful picture of the love that Paul has shown Masiye by talking with him and walking with him on the road. Zeria then told us that Masiye has made his ringtone on his phone a gospel song. Zeria told Masiye that this was a good song and he told her that last year and before then he never wanted to hear God songs. But now, he wants to hear them and know more about God! The passage of Scripture that came to my mind was "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35 Praise the Lord for the missionary we have in our gardener, guard, friend, and brother in Christ, Paul! Praise the Lord for the witness that he has been to Masiye!
