| The people of Mayaba Village |
There are two new villages that Martin and I have been visiting since he has been here, Mayaba and Chikuwe. We have basically finished our hut to hut evangelism in these villages and have set up a time for our Bible studies to begin. We will meet with them next Wednesday and begin teaching them God's word.
Please pray that many will come and receive our teachings with an open heart. Over all about 17 people have received Christ in these villages and we have met people there who used to go to Baptist Fellowship churches before they moved to these villages.
In Chikuwe village I was going around with a Zambian youth of about 21 years old, Whiteson Mwanza, who was my partner in evangelism. We came upon this one hut with a man and his whole family there. We asked his name and he said Banda. We asked where he wen to church and he said he is a Jehova's Witness. We had run into a lot of Jehova's witness in the village and had prepared to teach him about the doctrine of Christ. Mr. Banda didn't think that Jesus is God. We looked at many verses about what we believe and how we believe that Christ is God and apart of the Godhead. One of the verses that really seemed to get him thinking was Matthew 1:23. This verse clearly shows Jesus is "God among us" Mr. Banda took this to heart and confessed that he believes now Jesus is God because he has seen it in God's word and believes God's word is true. We
praise God for Mr. Banda and the others that received Christ as their Savior and Lord and we pray they will be strengthened and encouraged in the days to come as we Go every Wednesday and teach God's Word.

| I love this picture. It is truly the body of Christ working together to reach the lost for Christ. In the front from left to right: Ben Phiri (the man of peace in Mayaba, pray for Ben's salvation), Jumbe (our dear friend and pastor of the youth of Nyimba). In the back: Paul (our guard and amazing man of God), Martin. |
