Refocusing

The rainy season is the time of year for Kendall and I to really spend a great amount of time in prayer, study for the next dry season, and evaluation of the year that has passed. I guess you could say that it is a time for us to really focus in upon what God has called us to and how He desires for us to continue to minister to the Nsenga people.
Recently, during a time of personal reflection and evaluation, the Lord really impressed upon me, my selfishness. Selfishness in the area of failing to commit to pray for the unengaged and unreached people groups around the world. I have neglected to pray for God to raise up missionaries to go to these people to share Christ with them. In a way, it is hard to believe that Kendall and I were called to an unreached people group in Mozambique, almost three years ago. The Nsenga of Mozambique are considered unreached, still, after all that God has done this year among them.
There are 16,349 People Groups, 6,648 of them are unreached, 40.7% of the people groups in the world are unreached.
There are 60.7 Billion people in the WORLD, 2.75 Billion of the people in the world are UNREACHED.
I desire to plea for the nations and to see them come to Christ. For the next year, I want to pray around the world for the people who are without Christ. Jesus desires for every person, tribe, and tongue to hear the Good News and have the opportunity to know Him as their Savior and Lord. We can all get on our knees for those people groups around the world who have yet to hear the Gospel and for the people that God has set aside to GO and tell them about His love and salvation.
According to the Joshua Project, these are the top ten unreached people groups in the world. We can start by praying for them.

It is our duty as Christians to pray for and intercede for those who are without Christ.
"But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise to return, so some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent. But the day the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. 2 Peter 3:8-10
"But we are looking forward to the new heavens and earth He has promised, a world where everyone is right with God. And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to live a pure and blameless life. And be at peace with God. And remember, the Lord is waiting so that people have time to be saved." 2 Peter 3:14-15
