I never know what prize my kids will find on their daily nature treasure hunt. Well, yesterday was...well let me put it in Easton's words, "Mama, this was the best day of finding pets YET!" Early in their day, Lily and Easton happened upon a nice little frog. They quickly named him Leapy and began to build him a house consisting of a dish cloth (nice), grass, and some rocks. Easton even made him a little pond with a plastic pan from their play kitchen.
I thought that the froggy would be gone by lunch time, but no, his house was moved to the marina cooler outside of our back door so that he didn't jump away during lunch. Needless to say, I love living here, and I love the fact that my kids are not afraid to play with the grasshoppers, beetles, and frogs that they find. Thank you Lord for your creation and all of the fun critters that my kids find so incredibly amusing on a daily basis!
