I have to admit that I really dropped the ball in planning a really awesome 4th of July. But nothing beats giving your kids 4 cupcakes and some homemade red, white, and blue icing and letting them enjoy decorating their cupcakes with their FINGERS!! We sang the Star Spangled Banner, You're A Grand Old Flag and I taught them about what independence is and the reason that the colonists wanted freedom. It was a laid back day full of fun and some sweet treats!
