Thanksgiving in Giddings

Waking up to 41 degrees, cloudy skies, and a nice northern breeze is the perfect way to start Thanksgiving Day! We drove to Giddings, Texas to join the Helgren side of the family for a yummy feast at Aunt Sandra and Uncle Leroy's house. When we arrived we were greeted with hugs and smiles after being away for 3.5 years. The food was good, the fellowship was great, and the fun was abundant! A Thanksgiving Day tradition is that Uncle Leroy takes all of the kids and adults on a Hay Ride! We about froze to death but it was very fun and another "first" marked off the list for the Helgren kiddos! We are abundantly blessed and thankful for a day to celebrate with family!

Daddy and the kids

Ethan and Easton are only days apart in age. The last time they saw each other they were chubby and in diapers. We have a picture of them together. Here they are almost 4 years later!

Easton, McKenzie, and Lily staying warm before we left on the hay ride!

The whole Helgren gang...well most of us!

Kim, Connie, and Allie

And we're off!

Can you tell who my kiddos love?! McKenzie and Kayla...for sure!

Gramsie and Lauren stayed bundled up and kept Mama warm on the ride!
