We had the awesome privilege to meet two very special people this past week at the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. Bobby and Jackie Fuller are two people who have been called by God to serve Him in two very unique and special ways.
Bobby formerly worked for a company and inspected oil and petroleum that were brought in on ships. Several years later, the Lord called him to missions. Bobby never imagined that the Lord would allow him to serve in the place where he grew up and had previously worked. His prior experience on the docks truly enhanced his ministry as a missionary to seafarers and truck drivers. He serves in South Texas at the ports. After an hour of hearing amazing stories of how God has used him to reach truck drivers and seamen for Christ, I was excited about this ministry. We exchanged stories about how God has used the Jesus Film in Texas and Zambia to reach the lost for Christ. In our discussion, Bobby had mentioned that port ministry truly reaches the entire world from one place. Just think about it, all of the products that we buy come to us either on a truck or a boat. Praise the Lord that Bobby is reaching these men for Christ by offering them a Bible, a warm bath, a listening ear, and more importantly reflecting the love of Jesus and obedience to His call on Bobby’s life.
Jackie, Bobby’s wife also has an amazing ministry to women who are pregnant. She not only ministers to women through a crisis pregnancy center, but she also runs an amazing ministry by managing a maternity home. The maternity home is open to women that are 18 years and older. During their stay in the home, they are confronted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have to make some hard decisions to turn away from their old life in order to live for Jesus and to be a Godly parent. Another way that she ministers to these young women is by educating them on certain subjects such as: infant CPR, parenting, health issues, and other subjects to prepare them for motherhood. Jackie’s love for the Lord and to see these women come to Christ is evident. She is a beautiful woman that has truly used the gifts God has given her to reach these young women for Christ.
It was such a blessing to spend time with these two missionaries. Their hearts for the people that God has called them to is amazing. After spending time sharing the barriers that they face in their ministries and the awesome ways that God has blessed them, I left so encouraged and uplifted to have spent some time with the Fuller’s! Recently there was an article written about their ministry. To read more about the Texas Port ministry please visit their website at Texas Port Ministry to learn more about Jackie's ministry visit Pregnancy Help Center ! Pray for Bobby and Jackie that God would continue to bless them, encourage them, and that we as their brothers and sisters in Christ would never forget to lift them to the Father each day. Pray for the men and women that they minister to. Pray that their conversions would be genuine and that they would seek to know the Lord more and more each day!

Wow, what a surprise to turn to your blog and see our best friends there. You were blessed indeed to meet them. They are great people who really, really, really love the Lord and serve Him in wonderful ways. And I know they were blessed to meet you! My husband was at the convention too.
My husband said he did meet you! I am so happy he did. He is the DOM in our association, the same one the Fullers are in. If you are ever speaking in an area near us, we would love to go hear you. I promise I am not a stalker, just love Missionaries and hearing what God is doing around the world through you. :-)
