Mosaic of Nyimba Churches

Kendall and Samson Lungu have been visiting more churches. They have now completed the visitation of Zones 3 and 4. Through all of these visitations Kendall has been very encouraged about the health of the churches and met 3 chiefs that govern these villages. Below are some more churches, their name and a prayer request. It is so exciting to finally SEE the places that God has called us to serve! It has been a long journey, but well worth the wait! God is good and the harvest is plentiful!
(A side note: these churches are not right near our home they range from 10-60 km from our home in Nyimba. Our job is to encourage these churches and to plant new ones in Mozambique.)
Kapulu Baptist Church

Kapulu is a school during the week. They put a chalkboard in the middle of the church to divide the 2 classrooms. Here are the students at school!
Pray that Kapulu would not just be a building where kids go to school, but that the members of Kapulu would reach out to the neighbors near the church and share with them the love of Jesus Christ.

Jerusalem Baptist Church
Pray that the congregation would truly understand what worship is and that God is sufficient to meet all of their needs in life.
Kamphota Baptist Church
Pray for Kamphota as they complete their roof of their building that they would praise the Lord for supplying them with the materials to complete the building. Pray also that church would not be a social event, but be a place of worship each week.

Madalitso Baptist Church
(Madalitso means blessing)

Madalitso is a special church and this story really encouraged Kendall today. This little church that you see in the two previous pictures understands the purpose of church. After the church was planted, there were two men who were pastors and were sharing leadership at Madalitso. Instead of fighting about who would be in charge, they planted another church! The church they planted is Golgotha Baptist Church (below). We were so encouraged by the leaders of Madalitso for stepping out and starting another church in another village! Praise the Lord!!! Pray for the pastor of Madalitso to continue to set a great example of what a Godly leader is to look like!
Golgotha Baptist Church
Pray that God would bless the pastor of Golgotha Baptist that people would come to Christ and that the church would not stray from the Word of God but be grounded on Scripture.

Chinyanjo Baptist Church
The entrance to Chinyanjo
Pray for Chinyanjo to reach their community and to be Christ-centered as they minister to the families that surround them.

Chisomo Baptist Church
Chisomo is currently meeting in a school building until they can complete the construction of their new building. This is an exciting and humbling experience in the life of an African church because they build their own buildings with their own money and supplies. Each church member takes part in building the church and it is great to see them come together for the sake of building a central place of worship! Pray for Chisomo as they finish their building that people from the village will be drawn to the building and when they cross the threshold of the church they meet Jesus Christ face to face in worship.

"The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord; She is his new creation by water and the Word: From heav'n he came and sought her to be his holy bride; With his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died."

The Church's One Foundation by Samuel J. Stone
