Madalitso is a special church and this story really encouraged Kendall today. This little church that you see in the two previous pictures understands the purpose of church. After the church was planted, there were two men who were pastors and were sharing leadership at Madalitso. Instead of fighting about who would be in charge, they planted another church! The church they planted is Golgotha Baptist Church (below). We were so encouraged by the leaders of Madalitso for stepping out and starting another church in another village! Praise the Lord!!! Pray for the pastor of Madalitso to continue to set a great example of what a Godly leader is to look like!
Golgotha Baptist Church
Pray that God would bless the pastor of Golgotha Baptist that people would come to Christ and that the church would not stray from the Word of God but be grounded on Scripture.
Chisomo Baptist Church
Chisomo is currently meeting in a school building until they can complete the construction of their new building. This is an exciting and humbling experience in the life of an African church because they build their own buildings with their own money and supplies. Each church member takes part in building the church and it is great to see them come together for the sake of building a central place of worship! Pray for Chisomo as they finish their building that people from the village will be drawn to the building and when they cross the threshold of the church they meet Jesus Christ face to face in worship.
"The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord; She is his new creation by water and the Word: From heav'n he came and sought her to be his holy bride; With his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died."
The Church's One Foundation by Samuel J. Stone
