Nyimba Youth Bible School

"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."  1 Timothy 4:12
God laid it upon Kendall's heart back in July that he needed to start a Youth Bible School in Nyimba. He began praying about how and when it should begin and the Lord continued to show him the need for this kind of discipleship and training among the young people in Nyimba. Praise the Lord for the 8 students that attended this past week. In the picture above, there are only six students because the other two were young women that are attending school in town. Every afternoon, they came to get the notes from the morning session and would stay to learn from the afternoon sessions.Kendall was so refreshed by his time with these youth. He said that they asked so many good questions and were not afraid to ask questions that had come to their minds when they were reading God's Word. Some of the questions were...
"Why don't the Baptist allow women to preach?"
"1 Corinthians 5:5, what does it mean?"
"Why did Jacob marry two wives?"
Many of the other questions were doctrinal issues. We are so thankful that they were bold enough to ask these questions in order to learn and grow in their understanding of God's Word and how it applies to their lives! We are so incredibly excited about what God is doing among the youth in Nyimba! Please continue to pray that these youth would be strong in the Lord and resist the temptations that are so rampant around them. The second term of Youth Bible School will be held in November.
Pray that God would lay the right person on Kendall's heart to come and teach alongside him.
Pray that the adults in Nyimba would not be harsh on the youth and that they would desire to see them grow in the Lord and stop putting them down.
