Lauren Callaway turned two on February 15. It was a fun day to celebrate the joy that she brings to our lives! Here is the story of her birthday in pictures!
The electricity was off in the morning so we had to make Lauren's cake on a braiser. It was the most moist and wonderful cake, I never want to bake another cake in the oven again!
Lemon cake with powdered sugar icing...the decorating begins.
I broke my icing bag, so had to improvise and use a ziploc bag instead. The ziploc worked so much better than the regular bag!
Mickey Mouse or "Mau" is what Lauren chose for her birthday this year!
The finished product. This was my first time to use many different colors of icing, it was fun!
My precious babies were waiting all day for Lauren's party. They were so patient and so excited when she began to open presents.
Lily and Easton helped Lauren figure out all of the things that her vaccum could do!
She was so happy!
Dumbo from Mamie and D-Daddy or as Lauren would say "BayBee"!
A birthday without a new book just wouldn't be right!
I love this picture, she was so happy. Each time she opened a gift she handed something to Lily and to Easton because she wanted to share her presents with them too!
New clothes too!!
Birthday dinner for Lauren: chicken nuggets, homemade french fries, and green beans! Of course ranch dressing and ketchup were on the side! Daddy's treat was a coke!
Clean plates mean time for cake!
Daddy brought out the cake..
She is a pro because she has lots of practice blowing out the candles after the electricity has been turned off!
Daddy cut the birthday girl a piece!
Easton enjoyed cake too!
Our tummies were full!
Then Daddy taught Lauren how to blow a party blower! She was a quick learner! Easton joined in on the fun!
I can't believe that my baby girl is two! I thank the Lord for a healthy little girl that is full of love, excitement, and joy every day!
