Two Reasons To REJOICE!

"It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: 'Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.'" 1 Corinthians 1:30-31
"I am a mother of 10 children. My husband and I have been married for many years. Several months ago, he found a girlfriend. I did not run after him, I just started praying everyday that my husband would come home to me and our 10 children. I prayed and prayed...one day, he came home with his luggage and begged for forgiveness and said that I was his wife, one and only. He has not left again. He then started drinking beer. I did not yell or complain, I prayed to God because I knew that HE would hear my prayers. Two weeks later, my husband stopped drinking beer and has not touched it since. He was smoking, I began praying and praying and he has stopped. I know that God hears my prayers. Ladies, we must pray to God when we need help because HE will answer if we believe in Him and call Him our Lord." - Amai Daka
I was so encouraged to hear her testimony because she was willing to stand up and proclaim the might that is found in prayer and in her salvation that is found in Jesus Christ ALONE!
When all of the women arrived at the meeting on Wednesday night, we began greeting each church. In the midst of "roll call" a woman stood up and said, "what about me?" My name is Mrs. Phiri, I am from Dziko Baptist Church. My ears perked up...I stood up and said, "WHAT?!" I looked at Zeria and she was as surprised as I was. Why were we surprised, you ask? Dziko Baptist is a brand new church that was planted in May. The Gila Valley Baptist Church Team and Zeria went to this village to encourage and strengthen this church. We were SO HAPPY that Mrs. Phiri CAME to the meeting! When I came home and told Kendall his response was, "REALLY?! That is AWESOME!"
Praise the Lord for these two testimonies and the many more that God uses to encourage us as missionaries, those who come and volunteer with us, and those who intercede for us in prayer! PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!!!
