Baby Steps at Ukhose

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:1-5

We arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daka at 10:15 and we were greeted with smiles and excitement. We moved to the grass roofed gazebo in front of their home and waited for the others to arrive before the "program" of Bible teaching was to begin. Five adults and 10 children crammed underneath the small gazebo, sang songs of worship and listened to the teaching of God's Word from 1 John 1:1-5.

One man prayed to receive Christ today!

We were very encouraged because the two men (David and Peter) and one lady (Mrs. Daka)who have been the most faithful really were excited and desiring even more to know more about Jesus. They asked Kendall to start teaching them on Thursdays at 2:00pm.

Please pray that this will be a fruitful time of teaching and prayer.

Pray for David and Peter, they seem to be growing in their understanding of God's Word and their willingness to know more about Jesus and how to follow Him. Pray that they would be obedient to God's calling on their lives if He calls them to be leaders of Ukhose.
