"Be Ready and Keep Working..."

The red motorbike pulled into the gate with his wife and child on board with him. Samson had come to say goodbye. He has been a great friend to us and our families have been close since the first weeks we arrived in Nyimba. We have been through things with the Lungu family and saying goodbye to them will not be easy. He and his wife wanted to come and formally say goodbye today and present us with a gift.
Samson shared a message of encouragement with us from Matthew 24:36-43.
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then there will be two in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. Therefore, be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."
He then encouraged us to keep doing what we have been doing for the past 5 years in Nyimba. He told us to keep working until the Lord comes. He then presented us with watches as a reminder that time is precious and that since we don't know the time of the Lord's return, no matter where we are we must all as the body of Christ keep pressing on to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We were humbled, encouraged, and so thankful for Samson and his diligence in working for the Lord and the love that he has shown our family.
