"What do you think? If a man has 100 sheep, and one of them goes astray, won’t he leave the 99 on the hillside and go and search for the stray? And if he finds it, I assure you: He rejoices over that sheep more than over the 99 that did not go astray. In the same way, it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones perish." Matthew 18:12-14
As we ate breakfast one morning this week, the kids asked me to share a Bible story with them. I did the "open the Bible and read what you see" method and came to Matthew 18:12-14. At the end of the verses I asked the kids what the verse meant. Lauren immediately sat up tall in her chair and held her finger high in the air and said, "ONE! ONE! He went after the ONE! He is a GOOD Shepherd!"
I looked at Lily and Easton and said, "whatdya think?" They said, "that is right! Everyone is important to Jesus and He wants to find us all!" It was a sweet time of reading and discussing God's Word. They are never too young to learn and understand. A true blessing.
