A Little Bit of Progress

Each year, the Nyimba Association has a meeting at the end of the rainy season to plan for the upcoming dry season to plan the activities that the association will have throughout the year. Kendall received a letter informing him of the meeting. We were so excited to get a formal letter to attend the meeting, in the past, he has had to remind and prompt the leadership to make a meeting. (Receiving a letter in this society is very important. It validifies meetings in a way that we may not understand as Americans.) Kendall went expecting to need to provide the calendars for the year to fill in (which is what has happened the past 3 years) and was expecting 2-4 people in attendance. He studied and prepared a message about having a vision and striving to reach it together,  "where there is no vision, the people will perish...". He arrived at the church and there were 77 leaders in attendance! To his surprise and delight, they had a typed calendar with the dates, venues, and type of activity of ministry it was! After three years of preaching and teaching the leadership the importance of unity and organization to reach Nyimba for Christ, they listened! The associational leaders are taking their job seriously and we are so excited to see what God has in store for the 2012 year! Praise HIM for leaders seeking to follow the Lord and desiring to see Nyimba reached for Him! Thank you for praying with us for the leaders of Nyimba!
