Kalulu Baptist and Ukhose Baptist

Nine months ago, God opened a door for the Gospel to be spread and a church to be planted at Mayaba Village. The women and men of Mayaba have been so faithful to meet for weekly Bible Study and for church on Sundays. They love learning new hymns and choruses and especially about faith in Jesus Christ. It has been so neat to hear their testimonies of how they used to live and the things that they have turned from now that they know Jesus. Several used to drink beer, practice witchcraft, commit adultery and other things. It is so fun to go to church at Mayaba! Last week, they chose a name for their church, Kalulu Baptist. Kalulu means "rabbit", we aren't quite sure how they picked it but we are excited that they chose a name! This Sunday Kendall preached on Acts 13 and Hebrews 11. It was awesome to be with these believers!

A girl named Misoze (standing in the back) has started Sunday School for the children. I hope to begin to teach her and help her in preparation so that they are learning from God's Word. Look at all of the children on the left of the picture! God is so good!

UKHOSE Baptist

On the way home, we pass by Ukhose Baptist. It was so fun to see that they have completed the building of their church and that there were 6 people in attendance! This church has faced much opposition and the village that it is in is a dark place filled with many prostitutes and drunks. A perfect place for a church! Pray for the core believers of Ukhose to remain faithful!

Kendall went to greet the church and to tell them that he is coming to help them clean their plot by slashing the grass on Monday.

Precious Lauren loves to ride and wave at all of the people on the road. It is amazing what sweet smiles the Zambians give our kids. Our little missionaries!!
