Rainy Season Reflections

The rainy season is a time of year that provides us with a great amount of time as a family. Recently I have been reflecting upon some of the small things in our daily routine that I truly cherish. Here is my list of things I enjoy on a daily basis:

- The instant Starbucks coffee that I drink each morning that our friends sent me.
- Not having to wear shoes almost all day because most of my day is inside with our kids.
- Spending quality time teaching the alphabet, time, money, measurements, Bible, astronomy, and history; to our three eternal investments (our children).
- Sitting together as a family for all three meals each day.
- Having Kendall home all day and being able to talk to him about anything and everything that is on my mind and heart.
- Looking out my kitchen window and seeing a yard full of grass.
- Seeing our kids enjoy playing with their rabbits and guinea pigs.
- Anticipating dark clouds and rain each day in order to cool the earth and grow the crops.
- Having time each day to spend time with the Lord, with my husband, my kids, friends and family that are many miles away via email or Skype.

After pondering this list, I realized how blessed I am and thankful for this time of year.
