Today was just a good day. I had a meeting with five women's leaders today. We met to discuss two big meetings coming up for the women of Nyimba. In April, they will be attending the national women's meeting in Lusaka. They are so excited to be a part of this meeting for the first time. I asked each of the leaders to bring a list of the women going and there are 51 women that want to go! I was so impressed and I am praying that they all can go! I know that this meeting will be a huge encouragement to them and challenge them as well. We also discussed the associational meeting in Nyimba in August. We discussed logistics and made plans for 4 hours today but it was such a good time. I was happy with the meeting because they were really accepting of the new ideas that I presented to them and we were in agreed on many things. Pray that the women of Nyimba will continue to desire to grow as a whole. Pray that they will continue to grow in God's Word as well.
Kendall also had a surprise meeting with a pastor from Sinda. Pastor Iwell Phiri came to see our home, buy Bibles, and discuss the calendar for Sinda for the year. It was great time of fellowship for Kendall to spend time with Iwell. Pray for Iwell as his church desires to start a community school in their village because there is no school present. We were so excited to hear about his church's desire to help the village by working to begin a school. Another awesome thing is that we noticed on the Sinda calendar they have a Youth Rally planned in July, during the time that our team of youth from Universal City Baptist Church will be here working with us! Pray that everything works out for our team to go and share Christ with the youth in Sinda!
Kendall and I are desiring more and more to partner with our national brothers and sisters this year and it seems that God is opening huge doors of opportunity for that to happen. What a blessing!
