This was the conversation after he walked in the door:
Joy: How was it?
Kendall: I have seen the real Africa today!
Joy: Did you get stuck?
Kendall: Yes, in the creek, but only for about 30 minutes.
Joy: Oh goodness! Praise the Lord it wasn't for days!
Kendall: Yeah, it was a day of cultural and language challenges.
Joy: How did you get in the creek?
(Kendall explains)
Joy: How did you get out?
Kendall: We lifted the truck up and put a log under the front of it and some people pushed from the back and we got it out. (Thank you again, Lottie Moon for a reliable and very durable vehicle, without it we couldn't reach these very rural churches!)
Joy: Was this on the way?
Kendall: Yes, but I will ALWAYS listen to a Zambian when it comes to the passability of a road!
God was good to them, Kendall learned a lot and was able to visit the "Zone 4" churches of Nyimba. Below are the Zone 4 churches and a request for each church.
Mwape Central Baptist Church
Pray for Pastor Richard as he leads the church. This church is located near the chief's palace, may the church be a place of fellowship and of salvation for those that come to visit the chief and family that live near.
Pray for these children that live near Mwape Central that they would come to Christ and not see a church just as a building but a family of believers.
Kasamba Baptist Church
Pray that the leaders of Kasamba would seek to grow in their walk with Christ and would strive to see the congregation grow to know Christ more.
Mtilizi Baptist Church
Pray that God would protect this church from harm and that as people enter this door on Sunday that they would meet Jesus there, not just their friends.

I remember holding VBS at a church in central Mexico that looks very much like these. No electricity, no water, only people hungry for the fulfilling that only God can give. May God continue to be the protector and guide Kendall needs on these journey's.
