Well, another week is over here at Field Personnel Orientation in Virginia! This past week was our week with Dr. Rankin and his lectures on Spiritual Warfare. This was a rich time of learning and insight for experiences that we will have on the field. This next week is our security and contingency training so be in prayer for us. Bythe way, in Africa all of the women in the children's lives are called "Aunt" and men are "uncle". So the pictures are of Easton with Aunt Julia who is from Kentucky and is going to be serving in Swaziland. The picture was taken in our kitchen! Then the other is after he had eaten his lunch on his 6 month birthday! He also got his first tooth on this day (Sunday February 18) and he got his second tooth on the 19th of Monday! Enjoy our update...hope these will be more frequent!
Blessings,
The Helgrenfam

Joy,
I am enjoying reading about your training and preparations for AFrica. I know you (and Kendall) will be such a blessing in Africa. Much Love, Meredith
hey girl! glad you guys have been able to settle in for your training in virginia. i can't imagine the hard work (& mental exhaustion) you guys are doing to prepare. i'm sure you feel like you aren't spending enough time with your kids, but trust that God is taking care of them & they know you love them.
