The Girl With A Testimony

For a year now, she has challenged me.
She brings forth issues that I have never really had to flesh out or face or defend.
Some would push her aside and say "why are you asking that?"...
I see it as a chance to grow to be challenged.

The path has not always been smooth for the amber haired girl.
The path has not always been smooth for the mid-30s brunette either.
The trials and temptations that she has faced have not always been the easiest.
The struggle for her makes it more of a struggle for me because wisdom from God is what I desire to impart to her.

In the beginning, she would ask to maybe argue, now she asks to defend and to grow.
In the middle, she was not too happy with my worldview or my thoughts.
Today, she is unafraid and I am unhindered in sharing what is really on my heart.

I am proud of her.
Proud of her for not being hesitant to ask.
Encouraged by how she has allowed the Lord to work in her life.
Today, she challenged me again.
She keeps me on my toes.

My prayer is that she never stops seeking, never stops asking, and never fails to grow.
My prayer is that she is not led astray and never loses heart.
My prayer is that through these seasons of life her testimony of who Christ has become in her life will be a story she tells to many throughout her life.
