When I was a young girl, I loved playing school. My mom was an elementary school teacher and I loved using her Teacher’s Editions to “teach” my students! Never in a million years, did I actually think that one day I would teach my own children. Today, I began a new role in life, a homeschooling mom. To think that I am the one that will be teaching Lily to read and write can be a frightening thought because I have no one to blame but myself if she doesn’t thrive. I have so many good friends who are on this journey with me and I am so thankful that my mom and mother-in-law are both former teachers that are there to help and support me. I know one thing, there is no way that I can do this without the help of the Lord. I am honored to teach my precious Lily and excited about seeing her grow and learn in our home.
Today was Lily’s first day of school and it was a blast! I praise the Lord for this awesome opportunity to teach her!
The math curriculum that we are using is called "Math U See" she really enjoyed it!
We did Math and Phonics, but I forgot to take pictures of her doing phonics!
Before she could finish, Easton came in and wanted to "watch WeyWey". We are going to be creative in letting Easton start "doing sthool" too!

I'm so proud of Lily starting her first day of kindergarten and proud of you for homeschooling. She's a beautiful little girl. I'm also very proud of the mission the 5 of you are on. Love, Connie
