We received many packages this last week when the Howard Family and Cook Family came to visit us on their way to visit a new church plant! Two of the packages were from First Baptist Cleveland, Georgia! In one of the packages, they sent Easton and Lily a brand new box of 48 Crayola Crayons! Read the captions under each of the pictures below to find out the whole story!
My almost two year old son, Easton had gotten a hold of the crayons and taken the points off of several of them and left them in the box as proof. I was so sad!
Then I let the kids pick their favorite color...
Easton chose one he had not broken...Olive Green!
Kendall made a swing for Lily since she and Easton were sharing his baby swing. We had fun decorating the new swing with our names written in our favorite colors! Lily (Carnation Pink), Easton (Olive Green), Lauren (Wisteria), Mama (Sky Blue), and Daddy (Red Orange). Lily and Easton picked Wisteria for Lauren!
As we enjoyed the crayons, it made me realize how unique we all are. From ages 20 months to 29 years of age, we all are created with things we enjoy and God created us all different! As we minister to Zambians, it makes me also see how our world is like a Crayola box. Some of us are bright and unbroken and we are called to love those that live in darkness and are broken. Although we as Christians have our bad days, we are to be light to those around us and to brighten our world!
So, what was YOUR favorite crayola crayon color growing up? Leave us a comment and we will match your favorite color with your name!

I still LOVE to get a new box a crayons or markers! (the joys of teaching elementary school). Periwinkle was always a favorite color of mine! :)
I just always liked pink. And the smell of the Crayola crayons! What a fun memory!
Crayons are awesome, we let the little one play with chalk while in Johannesburg! My favorite was always blue, my now 6 year old changed my favorite color to yellow a few years ago to keep her from getting confused!

I love to open a new box of crayons to this day. My favorite color growing up was magenta, however, as I have matured the color has gradually gotten lighter. I now prefer pink.
KELLY GREEN!!! And what a fun memory to share with all of you! I miss you and can't wait to come and visit. Much love!

I've always liked the pretty pink/lavender color named orchid. I think the smell of new crayons is a childhood staple!
