Big Adventures!!

Greetings from South Texas!
The Helgren's are visiting Gramsie and Pawpaw in Refugio this week for Spring Break. Today was a BIG day for little Lily! The first big adventure for Lily was going to the beach at Rockport for the first time. She was not too sure about the sand on her feet or the water either! After much whining and complaining from Lily her daddy convinced her that the water was a GOOD thing! The next thing we know, Lily is squatting at the water's edge playing in the sand and the water! SHE LOVES THE BEACH! Her next big adventure was tasting her first Dairy Queen vanilla ice cream cone! Once again, she found something that she could really get used to! After we returned home from our beach and DQ outing we came home to give one of the dog's a bath. Lily had a super time playing fetch with Pete while Maggie got a bath. The entire time we were home after the beach Lily loved parading around the yard barefooted. Later on Susie (i.e. Gramsie...Lily calls her BaBa) took Lily, Kendall, and I to the neighbor's house to visit with the goats, cows, buffaloes, and miniature ponies. Lily had a great time mooing at the cows, feeding the goats, and ooohhing at the ponies and buffaloes. After her bath, Lily was pooped out and went to bed mighty early! Today was so fun and one thing is for certain, Lily LOVES to be outside and loves being with animals! Pictures of our adventures will be added on to the blog as soon as we return to Fort Worth later this week!
